Mk is a long-time activist and organizer who currently focuses their energy working with the Chicago chapter of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN). While living in Palestine, Mk worked with the Palestine Solidarity Project doing nonviolent direct action against the occupation. Previously, Mk helped to found the Jack Pine Community Center in Minneapolis. They have also worked with Jews For An End To The Occupation and on the UFCW campaign to unionize Landmark Theaters.
Their Jewish heritage, as well as commitment to social justice, compel their work in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Mk graduated from Macalester College in 2003 with a degree in History, and from Drexel University in 2009 with a Masters in Library Science.
